The Moon: Season Finale (Part One)

It's been quite a year. And we owe it to all you Moon fans out there. With the spirit of Thanksgiving still warm in our hearts, to truly express the magnitude of our gratefulness, we have decided to close out the year in style. We will present to you a Two-Part Season Finale, beginning this Tuesday, December 1, at 8PM. Come bear witness to an epic tale of romance, adventure, and boners, featuring comedy, music, videos, and dancing from all of the Moonkids and our favorite guests from the past year. Of course, this mega-Moon is still FREE.

Featuring...
And special NEW guest...
  • Pete Holmes! (The New Yorker, Comedy Central's Premium Blend)
We can hardly believe it either. Think of this as a Christmas present come early. And for you Jews, stop pretending Hannukah is an important holiday, and consider this a Sukkot present come way late. And for you atheists, think of this as a Christmas present come early. Other religions? You get the idea.

Part Two, our final show of the year comes on December 15, but don't miss the plot-packed first half. Remember how much it sucked when you went to watch your favorite Saturday-morning cartoons, only to discover the second half of a two-parter? It sucked a lot.

Can The Moon Save The Earth?

We're all in this together, you know?

This Tuesday, October 20, at 8PM, our ragtag band of philosopher-entertainers will partner with 350.org to bring you a Special Edition of The Moon. We do not wish to pressure you into attending, but this week, our plan is to defeat climate change. If you do not attend this FREE show, then you will have no right to complain as the world deteriorates exponentially. Also, it's going to be a lot of fun!

Featuring:

It's going to be a great time, and you might just learn something! And you might just laugh. And then you might learn another thing, and laugh at that. There's going to be learning while laughing, and vice versa, is what we're getting at. You'll see.

Friends Of The Moon Video Roundup

Some of our favorite guests have recently made and/or been in some of our favorite videos. Which and which, you ask? Why waste time torturing yourself, when you can just scroll down and find out on your own?

In reverse chronological order...

Aaron Glaser: 1-900-BALL-TLK

Good Friend and UCB regular Aaron Glaser wrote this video. And it stars Jenn Sterger, who is famous for having nice breasts, so that's great.

Hannibal Buress on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon

Hannibal is one of our favorite people. He has killed each of his four appearances on The Moon. See him do the same here, but without a microphone.

Hannibal was also recently hired to be a writer for this upcoming season of Saturday Night Live, which is fucking insane. Read all about it!

Adira Amram: Fingerblast

James Beard and I are in the final club scene of this video. Can you spot James? You can't spot me.

Adira and her two dancers are going on tour this Fall with Kid Koala, who is doing this crazy show with the six turntables and the rhythm section from Wolfmother, playing the soundtrack to a movie that never existed. I swear. Check it out.

Here's a new video for you to enjoy whilst sipping your Iced Caramel Macchiato at work, or kicking back with a cold brass monkey at home. It also goes very well with a bottle of 1972 Dom Perignon Champagne with a side of cocktail sauce. And guys? Not the Heinz stuff, ok? Spring for something robust and dignified.

Many thanks to Genesis for co-starring in this strange tale of an afternoon gone wild.

MOON: A disambiguation

So a movie starring beloved actor/song and dance man Sam Rockwell and directed by David Bowie's son titled MOON opens this evening. At least here in New York City it does. This movie is in no way affiliated with the live show we do every two weeks called The Moon.

However frustrating this confusion may be, this movie is going to be fucking awesome and I think everyone should see it. I will be watching it tonight at 9:40PM and will report back on how fucking awesome it was.

Love,
Blog Walles

EDIT: I saw it. My original assessment of this film as "fucking awesome" was uninformed but apparently accurate. Go see it.

A Revelation!

Hey!

Today while I was walking to Taco Bell with my friend Steve Conrad we reasoned something very important that will save you all a lot of time and effort. I don't know why it didn't occur to me before:

If you leave a note on someone's drink that says "I peed in your drink" then you don't actually have to pee in it.

They won't drink it. I promise you. The drink is ruined, and you don't have to put yourself in a compromising position.
